- Organising and implementing clinical requirements in Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Organising Clinical training for students in various specialty hospitals to gain clinical experience in adult and geriatric health nursing
- Guiding students to complete clinical requirements such as nursing care plan, case studies, clinical presentation, incidental teaching, return demonstrations and health education in adult and geriatric health nursing
- Preparing students to learn new clinical advancements in Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Conducting workshops, seminars and conferences in areas related to Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Research activities
Child Health Nursing or Paediatric Nursing is the specialized area of nursing practice concerned with the care of infants and children during wellness and illness. Child Health Nursing requires knowledge of normal psychomotor, psychosocial and cognitive growth & development, as well as health problems and needs of children from birth to 18 years. It also encompasses preventive care and anticipatory guidance.

Mental Health Nursing specializes in mental health, and cares for people of all ages experiencing mental illnesses or distress.

Obstetrical and Gynaecological (OBG) Nursing deals with care of expectant mothers before, during and after childbirth, nursing management of diseases associated with perinatal period and diseases related to female reproductive system.

Community Health Nursing deals with meeting the health needs of people in the community. In collaboration with local communities, nurses work to prevent illness and promote health across the lifespan, by identifying barriers to healthy lifestyle and general wellness.
