Regulations

College working hours - 9 am to 5 pm.

Uniform

Students are expected to wear the prescribed complete uniform for duty during clinical posting. They are expected to appear neat and tidy inside the college and hospital campus at all times. We encourage students to adhere to college dress code, which is simple, neat and comfortable.

Code of Conduct

Students will strive to be loyal to the philosophy of the Institution and to promote its positive image and status with a compassionate, ethical and professional code of conduct. Failure to follow regulations will necessitate the management to take disciplinary action as deemed fit.

Attendance

A minimum of not less than 80% attendance in theory and 100% in practical / clinical, in each subject in each academic year is essential for appearing in the examination. A candidate pursuing the course shall study in the college for the entire period as a full time student. No candidate is permitted to work in a hospital / nursing home / laboratory / college while studying this course. No candidate should join any other course of study or appear for any other examination conducted by this university or any other university in India or abroad during the period of study. Each academic year will be taken as a unit for calculating the attendance.

Vacation / Leave

Vacations are planned according to the RGUHS regulations. If the students are unable to return to college on time due to unforeseen reasons, the Principal should be intimated on time, either by a telephone call or an e-mail. On return, students will have to produce a valid documentation supporting the reason for nonattendance.

Anti ragging policy

Ragging in any form is prohibited in the campus. Any student indulging in any form of ragging in the hostel will be debarred from the hostel of this Institution. The student will have to make alternate arrangements for accommodation. Students found ragging will be reported to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, for further action. Students and parents have to give an undertaking with regard to non-indulgence in ragging at the time of admission.

No day-scholars are allowed in the hostel premises without permission.

Anti-Ragging Committee

SSCON has an Anti-Ragging Committee. The committee members and college faculty will keep vigilance over the students to prevent any sort of ragging in the college, hospital, hostel and the campus as a whole. According to government orders ‘ragging’ in any form is a ‘criminal offence’; strict action will be taken against the student, including rustication from college and criminal proceedings.
