The objectives of Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation (SSCF) are carried through by eminent individuals from various fields with rich experience in community development activities. They came together to achieve a common goal of pulling forces against cancer, and as trustees of the foundation, now carry forward a mighty dream.
Dr. B S Srinath
A reputed surgical oncologist, with over 35 years of experience in service to cancer patients. He has a strong background in research on cancer and immunology and is perceived as a pioneer in the field of cancer treatment. In addition to that, he has the experience of having built and managed a large and successful hospital in the related field. He has served as the Managing Director of Bangalore Institute of Oncology, a leading cancer institution for 11 years, from 1992 to 2003. He is admired by the medical community and adored by general public for starting a crusade against cancer. He has conducted a number of cancer screening and awareness camps during the last 20 years and has taken his medical expertise right up to the patients’ door. He is truly a friend of the suffering.
SMT. TEJASWINI ANANTHKUMAR
A software engineer, philanthropist and social worker. Spearheads the activities of Annapurna, an NGO which feeds 2.5 lakh school children every day, in Bangalore, Hubli, Gulbarga and Jodhpur. She is an active voice for non-formal education for the disadvantaged. She is also involved in women's self-employment initiatives.
